Preacher's abandoned church has a tiny cemetery next to it where the dead occasionally dig themselves out of graves to visit the preacher. He makes it his mission to help free them. Wants to be messianic somehow. He's angry that "The Rapture" is so disorganized and "half-assed". God has abandoned these stragglers to their graves. Too busy to resurrect them. Failed to plan their evacuation very well.
